"Don't you know that I heard it through the grapevine"
Organic/ Biodynamic Wine
I have recently been slowly easing myself into living organic. Organic chicken, Organic Fish. I want to eventually be Organic in every way. However, Just like eating healthy period, It gets very costly, so it's not as easy. I am first trying to incorporate it into my eating habits with the things I consume the most. Fish, chicken, and Rice. As far as alcoholic Beverages, it's mostly Red Wine for me.
I began drinking Red Wine initially due to the fact that it contains more Antioxidants then any other types of wine. Unfortunately, They are still considered empty calories, but just a tad bit better then drinking rum, or Vodka.
Being that I want to go organic with Everything I consume, I decided to look up Organic Wine by reading reviews, and researching brands. I also got feedback from a co-worker. She loved it. She said that it taste great if not better, and because of that she consumed a lot of it. Surprisingly, she did not get a hangover, or one of those horrible headaches. Why switch to organic you say...See below.
- An Organic Vineyard has a process that excludes artificial Fertilizers, and any synthetic chemicals such as pesticides, fungicides, growth regulators, and harmones.
- Pest and rodents are fought off with natural bacteria based insecticides.
- The taste is almost No different from regular wine.
- Not having to go through the same routine as non-organic wine, The grapes are richer in taste rather then needing to be superficially enhanced.
The two types of wine that I usually go for Are Shiraz's, or Pinot Noir's. I also love any Port Wines right after dinner, or frankly, whenever! "Frey's" organic wines seem to be the most popular throughout my research. See some options below.
